Bite Meal support

Help with Bite Meal, listed on the App Store as "Grocery List & Meal Planner". Last updated October 2026.

What does Bite Meal do?

  • Lists: create, rename and delete as many lists as you like. One list is your primary list, which Siri, the widget, the weekly plan and recipes use.
  • Items: add an item by typing its name, with a quantity in pieces, liters or pints, or kilograms or pounds. Tap or swipe an item to remove it once bought, and undo the last add or remove.
  • Sharing: share a list with other people. Everyone sees changes straight away, and several people can edit at once.
  • Recipes with AI: describe a dish, paste a link, or scan a printed recipe with the camera, and get a recipe with ingredients, steps, time, difficulty, cuisine, servings and nutrition per serving. This needs an account and uses one credit. Pantry staples such as salt, oil and flour are left out of the ingredient list on purpose.
  • Editing a recipe: rename it, add or replace its photo, add or delete an ingredient, edit a step's text or add a photo to a step, and change the servings, which rescales the quantities.
  • From recipe to list: add a recipe's ingredients to a list.
  • My Week: a plan for the current week. Add recipes, start cooking, mark one as done, and add all the ingredients to your primary list, where the same ingredient from two recipes is combined. A nutrition analysis of the week uses one credit.
  • Fasting: 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, one meal a day or a custom window, with a countdown, history, a streak and a notification when the eating window opens and closes.
  • Water: log glasses against a daily goal, with the last 7 days and a streak. This needs an account.
  • Widgets: water in small and medium, fasting in small, and your primary list in medium.
  • Apple Watch: see your lists and items, and remove an item once bought.
  • Siri and Shortcuts: add an item, hear what is on a list, and add a recipe's ingredients to a list.
  • Notifications: when someone joins, renames or deletes a shared list, when you are removed from one, and when someone adds items.
  • Settings: metric or imperial units, Celsius or Fahrenheit, and default servings.

If something is not on this list, Bite Meal does not do it today.

What does Bite Meal not do?

  • It does not work with Alexa or Google Assistant. It works with Siri.
  • There is no Android version and no web version.
  • It does not scan barcodes.
  • It does not track prices, totals or a budget.
  • It does not sort items by aisle or category, and items have no notes or photos.
  • You cannot write a recipe by hand from scratch; new recipes are made with AI and can then be edited. You cannot add or delete steps.
  • The plan covers the current week only, with no slots for each day, and it does not connect to a calendar.
  • It does not keep a pantry or inventory, and has no recurring items.
  • You cannot share a recipe with someone outside the app, or print one.
  • It needs an internet connection; lists cannot be changed offline.
  • You cannot change the email address on your account.

What does Bite Meal cost?

Bite Meal costs $2.99 to download. Shared lists, the weekly meal plan, fasting and water tracking, widgets, the Apple Watch app and Siri are all included, with no limits.

The two AI features use credits. You get 10 free credits, and can buy more:

  • 10 credits: $0.99
  • 25 credits: $1.99
  • 60 credits: $2.99

These are US prices as of October 2026. The App Store shows the price in your currency. There is no subscription.

What is a credit used for?

One credit is used each time you import a recipe with AI, and each time you run the weekly nutrition analysis. Credits do not expire.

How do I buy credits?

Open Settings and tap Credits, or tap Shop at the top of the main screens.

I had a subscription. What happened to it?

Subscriptions were replaced by credit packs. The app no longer sells or checks a subscription, and every feature that used to need one is now included or uses credits. If you had an active subscription and think you are missing credits, contact us.

How do I restore my purchases?

Credits are used up as you spend them, so there is nothing to restore, and the app has no restore button. Your credit balance is held for the device you bought on. If you reinstalled the app or moved to a new phone and your credits are missing, contact us and we will put them back.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase.

Do I need an account?

Not for lists. You can make and share lists with just a name. An account, with an email and a password of at least 6 characters, is needed for AI recipes and for water tracking. To create one, open Settings, then Account.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

The app cannot reset a password yet. Contact us from the email address on your account and we will help.

How do I share a list?

Open the list, tap Edit List, then the invite button, and send the link. Anyone who opens the link in Bite Meal joins the list. Every member can add and remove items, and changes appear for everyone straight away. Only the person who created the list can delete it.

Which links can I import a recipe from?

YouTube videos, TikTok videos and ordinary recipe web pages. You can also type a description of a dish, or scan a printed recipe with the camera. Instagram links are not supported. Each import needs an account and uses one credit.

Is my data sent to an AI service?

When you import a recipe or run the nutrition analysis, the recipe text is sent to OpenAI to be processed. Your email address and account are not sent with it.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings, then Account, then Delete your account, and confirm with Delete Account and Delete. This removes your account, your recipes, weekly plans, water and fasting records, your pictures, and any list that nobody else is on. Lists you shared stay with the other members.

If you use Bite Meal without an account there is no delete button. Contact us and we will remove your data.

Which devices does it work on?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 18.1 or later, and Apple Watch with watchOS 8.7 or later. The app is in English.

How do I contact support?

In the app, open Settings and tap Missing something? to send us a message. Or use the contact page at keenappsgroup.com/contact.
