Pawdometer support
Help with Pawdometer: Corgi Step Pet. Last updated October 2026.
What does Pawdometer do?
- Your corgi: name it and rename it later. It has five needs: food, water, energy, clean and happy. You feed it treats, pour water, clean the yard, give belly rubs and play fetch. It sleeps from 22:00 to 07:00. Sound can be turned off.
- Steps: it reads steps, wheelchair pushes, distance, Activity rings, workouts and sleep from Apple Health. Workouts without steps, such as cycling, swimming, rowing, yoga and strength training, count as 100 steps a minute.
- Rewards: treats at 1,500, 3,500, 6,000, 10,000 and 14,000 steps, at most 5 a day, plus one for closing all three rings. Water and pawnies, the in-game pocket money, are earned by steps too.
- Goals: a daily step goal of 4,000, 6,000, 8,000 or 10,000, which you can change at any time; a streak with rest days; three daily quests; a monthly challenge; 17 badges, also shown as Game Center achievements; and a journey to Pembroke Castle with postcards along the way.
- Shop: four extra yards, 19 outfits, and an emergency treat or water. The shop uses pawnies only, never real money.
- Walkies: start a walk in the app or on the Watch to see live steps and a timer; it is saved to Health as a walking workout and shown on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Walks, runs and hikes recorded by other apps count too.
- Seasons: Halloween, Christmas and New Year events.
- Sharing: a short GIF of your yard, or a postcard picture.
- Widgets: Home Screen widgets in small and medium with a Feed button, Lock Screen widgets, and a Walkies control for Control Center and the Action button.
- Apple Watch: an app to check on, feed, water and clean up after your corgi and to start a walk, with complications.
- Siri and Shortcuts: check on your corgi, feed it, give water, collect water, collect treats, clean the yard, start a walk, end a walk.
- Notifications: when your corgi is hungry, an evening reminder, and after a walk. At most two a day, never at night.
If something is not on this list, Pawdometer does not do it today.
What does Pawdometer not do?
- It does not connect to Fitbit, Garmin or other trackers directly. It reads Apple Health, so steps from another device count only if that device's app writes them into Apple Health.
- There is no Android version.
- There is one pet, and it is a corgi. There are no other animals and no second pet.
- The step goal is one of four presets; you cannot type your own number.
- There are no friends, leaderboards or competitions.
What does Pawdometer cost?
Pawdometer is free to download and everything is unlocked for 7 days. After that you adopt your corgi with a single purchase of $4.99. There is no subscription and there are no ads.
The price is the US price as of October 2026. The App Store shows the price in your currency.
What happens when the free week ends?
Your corgi takes a nap. Feeding, water, cleaning, walks, the Apple Watch app and Shortcuts stop working until you adopt. Nothing is lost: your corgi and your streak are exactly as you left them when you come back.
The 7 days count from your first download. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not restart them.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open the adopt card and tap Restore purchase at the bottom. After the free week the card appears on its own. During the free week, tap the Free badge in the status panel to open it.
Restoring uses the Apple Account you bought with. If the app says "No adoption found for this Apple Account", check that you are signed in to the same account.
Can my family use my purchase?
Yes. The purchase supports Family Sharing.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later, and Apple Watch with watchOS 11 or later. The Watch app needs the iPhone app installed. You do not need an Apple Watch to play. Steps taken with only your Watch on count once they reach Apple Health.
Where is my data, and who can see it?
Your corgi is saved on your device. Pawdometer reads your steps, activity rings, workouts and sleep from Apple Health on your device, and that data never leaves it. The app has no account and does not contact any server of ours.
A backup of your corgi is kept in your own iCloud. It is used only when you install Pawdometer on a device that has no corgi yet.
How do I reset or delete my corgi?
The app has no reset button yet. Deleting the app removes your corgi from that device. If you want the iCloud backup removed too, contact us and we will tell you how.
Why is my step count not updating?
Pawdometer needs permission to read Health data. In the Settings app, go to Health, then Data Access & Devices, then Pawdometer, and turn the categories on. Steps are counted from the day you grant access, not before.
How do streaks and rest days work?
Reach your daily step goal to grow your streak. The goal is 6,000 steps unless you change it to 4,000, 8,000 or 10,000. Your first treat of the day arrives at 1,500 steps. You earn a rest day for every 7 days of streak, up to two, and a missed day uses one, so one quiet day does not end the streak.
Which languages are supported?
English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese.
