What does ROLL do?

• Create an event: a title, a subtitle, a cover photo, a start and an end, and the text on the join button. Choose when the roll is developed, one of 7 film looks, how many photos each guest gets (10, 20 or 50), whether guests may delete their own shots, whether only photos taken during the event are accepted, and whether guests keep access after the reveal.
• Invite: share a link or show a QR code. On iPhone you can save the QR code as an image and create an invitation from it.
• Guests join by scanning the code or tapping the link, with just a name and no account. On iPhone they can join without installing the app.
• Guest camera: flash, front and back camera, a counter of shots left, and on iPhone zoom and Portrait blur. A guest can also add a photo from their phone's library, which counts as a shot. Shots taken with no signal are kept on the phone and uploaded later.
• Before the reveal: each guest sees their own shots. The host can review every photo, hide or show a single photo on iPhone, and delete a photo.
• After the reveal: everyone sees the gallery, with the name of who took each photo. Guests can save a photo and share a link to it. The host can see the guest list with each guest's photos, share the web gallery, export a zip of the originals on iPhone, hide the whole roll from guests, and make a collage of 2 to 4 photos.
• Recap video: a short silent vertical video is made from 15 photos when the roll is developed. The host or any guest can also make their own from up to 25 photos.
• Editing an event: until it ends, the host can change the title, subtitle, cover, start, end, reveal time and the guest settings. The film look and the guest tier cannot be changed.
• The Hub: start an invitation or event page for the event. The planning tools themselves (invitations, event page, RSVPs, quiz, playlist, wishlist, menu) open on bellafete.com.
• Notifications: when the roll is developed, when the event starts, and when one hour is left; for the host, when a guest joins and when the event is almost full; and when your video is ready.
• On the Lock Screen: on iPhone, shots left and the time until the roll develops.
• For photographers: a web dashboard to buy event credits or a yearly plan, set up events for clients, and put a logo on them.

If something is not on this list, ROLL does not do it today.

What does ROLL not do?

• It takes photos only. Guests cannot record video.
• A photo cannot be edited or given a different look after it is taken.
• The guest tier and the film look cannot be changed after the event is created.
• There are no co-hosts: an event has one host.
• There are no comments or likes on photos.
• It does not print photos or order prints.
• There is no slideshow or live photo wall for a screen at the event.
• A guest cannot be removed from an event.
• Galleries have no password. Anyone with the link can view a gallery the host has opened.
• Events cannot be created on the web or on an iPad. The iPhone and Android apps create events.
• Guests cannot take photos in a web browser; they use the app, or on iPhone the App Clip.
• Joining an event needs an internet connection. Taking photos afterwards does not.

What does ROLL cost?

ROLL is free to download, and guests never pay. An event with up to 10 guests is free, with every feature and no watermark. You can have one free event running at a time.

For a bigger event the host pays once, for that event:

• 25 guests: $14.99
• 50 guests: $29.99
• 100 guests: $49.99
• 200 guests: $79.99
• 250 guests: $99.99
• Unlimited guests: $149.99

These are US prices as of October 2026. The App Store shows the price in your currency. There is no subscription. The host does not count as a guest, and the number of photos each guest gets does not change the price.

Can I move to a bigger guest tier after buying?

No. The guest tier is chosen when the event is created and cannot be changed afterwards. Choose the tier that covers everyone you expect.

What happens when an event is full?

New guests cannot join. A guest who has already joined can always come back in.

Do guests need to download the app?

No. On iPhone a guest joins through an App Clip, and on Android through an Instant App. Guests do not need an account, only a display name.

When can everyone see the photos?

When the roll is developed. The host chooses when: during the event, when the event ends, 12 hours after, or 24 hours after. The host can change that choice until the event ends.

Until then, guests cannot see each other's photos. Each guest can see their own shots, and the host can see everything.

How many photos does each guest get?

10, 20 or 50, chosen by the host. If the host turns on Allow retakes, guests can delete their own shots, but a deleted shot is not given back.

Can photos be added after the event ends?

Yes, for 4 hours after the end time.

How long are photos kept?

6 months, counted from the event's end or the reveal, whichever is later. After that the photos are removed. The event page stays.

How do I download the photos?

On iPhone, the host can use Export in the gallery to get a zip of the original photos. If the host allows the web gallery, anyone with the link can save photos one by one, or use Download all for events with up to 200 photos.

How do I restore a purchase?

There is nothing to restore. A purchase is used for one event and is tied to that event. If a payment was interrupted, ROLL completes it the next time you open the app.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases made in the app are refunded by Apple or Google under their own policies. For the App Store, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. For photographer packs and the planner plan bought on the web, see latentroll.com/refund.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Settings and tap Request to delete account, then Request deletion. After about 24 hours your profile, every event you host, all their photos, guest records and purchase records are deleted and cannot be recovered. The request cannot be undone in the app.

How do I delete one event?

The app cannot delete a single event yet. Contact us and we will remove it for you.

Which devices does it work on?

iPhone with iOS 17 or later, and Android 8.0 or later.

Which languages are supported?

On iPhone and on the site: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Arabic, Hungarian, Polish and Romanian. The Android app is in English.
